Cuban attack
Cuba has opened an important policy meeting of the 88-nation non-aligned movement with a bitter attack on the west. The Cuban Foreign Minister (Mr Isidoro Malmierca) told a Ministerial meeting of the Non-> Aligned Co-Ordinating! Bureau that imperialism — Cuba’s synonym for the! West — was sabotaging de-1 tente and trying to split up the non-aligned movement. Mr Malmierca told the meeting, which must agree on a non-aligned policy for next week’s special United Nations session on disarmament, that the movement had to seek the elimination of all nuclear arms and genocidal weapons. — Havana.
