Kanemikasa wins in Tokyo
NZPA-Reuter Tokyo Kanemikasa, a four-year-bld horse sired by the British-bred Berber, won the 21 million yen (about SNZB3,OOO) New Zealand Trophy Race (1000 metres) at the Tokyo racecourse on Saturday. Kanemikasa, ridden by Seiil Ebisawa, beat Kamino Kachdoki, sired by the British-bred China Rock, by a length with Hokueiwan, sired by the French-bred Sasafras, a nose away, third. Kanemikasa, owned by Toshiaki Kanasashi, won 11 million ven (about $NZ44,200).
