Journalists walk out
PA Timaru The “Timaru Herald” will be published today in an attenuated edition. the newspaper’s editor (Mr G. J. Gaffaney) said last evening.
Journalists employed by the paper walked off the job yesterday morning in a 24-hour protest stoppage. Mr Gaffaney said last evening that the paper would be brought out by executive staff.
