Indoor hockey final places decided
Christchurch Boys’ High School and Linwood High School will meet in the secondary schools’ division one final of the indoor hockey competition at Canterbury Court on Thursday. The teams met in last year’s final and Boys’ High will seek its fourth successive title. Two othei divisions have reached the finals stage. In division two University plays Pegasus, but University will be without several of its regular players. They will be with the New Zealand Universities hockey team in Australia. In division three High School Old Boys and Sydenham-Cash-mere are the finalists, while Linwood United (‘women) and Redcliffs (men) won their respective qualifying divisions. The division one and womens division finalists will be decided on Monday evening.
Results were:— Division two: Selwyn-Hillmor-ton 6, Ashburton 2; High School Old Boys 3, Linwood United I; University 7, Harewood 2: Pegasus 6, Woolston W.M.C. 0. Division three.—Rollerdrome 7, Kaiapoi 1; Woolston W.M.C. 6, Harewood 5; H. 5.0.8 4. Lincoln College 1; Sydenham-Cashmere 5, University 4.
