Armed gang holed up
PA New Plymouth A police patrol swung swiftly into action last evening when a slightly breathless telephone caller reported that men armed with sub-machine-guns had got out of a car at a petrol station.
The police found their armed men all right ... a surprised Army detail who had been practising for a coming Anzac Day service.
