Strong golf field

' A strong field will contest (the Canterbury women’s I foursomes golf championships at Harewood on Monday.. Of the Canterbury Russell Grace team only Sue Boag will not be playing. She won it last year, in partnership with Sue Bishop. This year, Mrs Bishop will be playing with Jeannette

Kinnaird, first reserve for the Russell Grace team. Another strong pair will be Vai Cullen and Judy Davidson. Sue Haydon, another Canterbury player, is paired with Chris Skinner.

A former New Zealand champion, Una Wickham, will be playing, in partnership with Jan Ward. The event will be decided over 36 holes of stroke play.
