New outboard co.
A new marine-engine servicing company is working in Christchurch. Outboard Services, Ltd, opened for business last December 1 in a spacious 190sq.m. workshop at 376 A Ferry Road, Linwood. The company specialises in servicing Mercury outboard motors. It was established by lan Williamson, a Mercury-trained mechanic who previously worked for about eight years for two larger ma-rine-supply companies in Christchurch. Mr Williamson recently returned from a trip to the United States, where he visited many outboardengine servicing companies and the main outb o a r d-engine manufacturers. He says that he was able to observe the latest
servicing developments, some of which he hopes to be able to use in his own workshop.
