Grass for a family cat
Cats love to roll in grass. Make this surprise playground for your pet. Puss will be delighted. Fill some shallow wooden boxes with earth. They should be without their lids. Sprinkle grains of oats, rye, and barley about 6 mm apart and cover with earth. It should be about 2 to 3 mm deep over the grain. Press the soil firmly
i with your hand, water ■ lightly, and leave the , boxes in a well-lit room, such as your bedroom. Water from time to time r so that the earth remains slightly damp. In about a fortnight t your grass will probably be over 10cm high. Open > your bedroom door and in- > vite your cat inside. She should be very happy ’ when she sees the boxes.
