The promotion of standards
Sir. — Try as I might, I fail to find cause in the article on the S.P.C.S. page for W. D. McCullough’s remarks; The whole purpose of the page and the written material is to encourage society to be more aware of understanding, compassion, and love in contrast to the present undue emphasis upon crime, violence, and self-indulgence. Discipline and responsibility can hardly be referred to as bigotry unless they are exclusive and sectarian. On the contrary we would be happy to receive from W. D. McCullough, and others who would criticise, or oppose, efforts to draw society’s attention to the more positive aspects of life, articles providing us with their convictions to help uphold the law, give meaning, purpose and direction to so many who have lost their way. — Yours, etc., NEVILLE M RUSH. Integrity Centre. April 10, 1978.
