Repeal of C. S. and A. Act
Sir, — Alan Wilkinson’s statements in support of Repeal are as vague and emo> tive as those of the organisers. The Mayoress and Mrs Bonisch have not analysed and compared the two pieces of legislation; nor have they drawn any conclusions which would enable the public to judge the logic by which they support a return to the old law. The citizens of high status who have become patrons of Repeal have not made any statements at all. People offering the petition for signature are not able to offer copies of both laws nor are they able to explain the differences. — Yours, etc.,
JILL PRESTON. April 9, 1978.
Sir, — Erica Jordan asks that we should give the present law on abortion time to see if it will work. Time is precisely what no-one has to spare in a pregnancy. Does she know of some kind of Sleeping Beauty process, which will keep a pregnant woman in stasis while doctors and lawyers argue it out? — Yours, etc., DIANA GREGSON. April 10, 1978.
