The New Zealand lambj trade in England and Wales: last week was steady with a' good off-take, reports the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board in its weekly l market survey. Trading in general was quiet under the influence of increasing prices for home-killed red meat. On Smithfield, beef prices) moved up a further 2p to 3p. With only small supplies! available home-killed hogget: moved up to record levels, ■ reaching 66p for specials. , New Zealand lamb prices! are expected to move up by' several pence during the. next month because of in-, creasing beef prices and the! large gap between home-1 killed hogget and New Zea-| land lamb prices.
