Sailor visitor dies
One of the 11 Singaporean sailors injured in a motorverucie accident on Sunday evening died in the Christchurch Hospital yesterday, he was
Tiong Huat Lim, a member of the crew of R.S.S. Excellence.
He had been admitted to the intensive-care unit with serious head injuries. Two other young crew members of the visiting Singaporean naval ship are reported in a fairly comfortable condition in hospital. One had head and' back injuries and the other has head injuries. The other eight crewmen returned to their ship after treatment. The Singaporeans were in a van which was in a colli-I sion with a car at the corner of Wilsons Road and St Martins Road about 6.20 p.m.
