Pipers retain band title
PA Wanganui The City of Wellington Highland Pipe Band has retained its grade one championship title against strong competition at the New Zealand pipe band championships, held at Wanganui. The Wellington band beat the Pipes and Drums of Innes Tartan (Auckland) in the final stages of the competition. The Ellesmere Band won grade three and the Christchurch Metropolitan Ladies’ Band was third in grade four.
