Woman gets parish
The RSv. C. R. Graham has been appointed the first vicar in the Christchurch Diocese.
She will take up her position in May, replacing the Rev. C. J. Goldsmith in the parish of Ellesmere, based at Leeston.
Miss Graham trained for the ministry at St John’s College, Auckland, after she had gained a university degree and a diploma in teaching. She was ordained in 1972, and appointed a priest this year. From 1972 until 1974-, the was assistant curate at St Peter’s, Upper Riccarton.
