Permits down in Waimairi
The value of building permits issued by the Waimairi County in February slumped! drastically from February a! year ago, but there was a good reason for much of the decline from $8,423,088 to a mere $975,133. The figure for February, 1977, included the building permit for extensions to i Christchurch Teachers’ ColI lege, costing an estimated 156.7 M. But allowing for that big sum, this February’s figures !are still down nearly 50 per [cent on the $1.72M balance. > I
