Boat sinks at berth
A Lyttelton fishing boat was found by its owner sunk at her berth at the fishing wharf early yesterday morning. She was the 28-foot Vixen, owned by Mr R. F. Smith, of Christchurch. Divers managed to attach slings to the boat and by midday she had been raised to the surface by a Lyttelton Harbour Board mobile crane. The cause of the sinking is not known, but foul play is not suspected.
