Heroin sentence reduced
PA Wellington The Court of Appeal reduced by 18 months the jail sentence imposed in the Supreme Court at Rotorua last year on a man convicted of importing heroin. It reduced from three years and a half to two years the sentence imposed on Norman John Bryan, aged 28, a bricklayer. Mr Justice ’Woodhouse said it was a difficult case which involved a man convicted of importing a small quantity of heroin for his own use.
