THE VETS

While Wayne Mason and the land agent went to view the ownership flat, Arthur Seddon and her sister, Amelia, were having lunch. “Did he get the old Savage home?” Amelia asked. Across the table from her, Arthur smiled a very satisfied smile. “I think not. dear. I rang Peter Bryant and told him that our partnership was only in its infancy; nothing had been finalised,” said Arthur. “You realise Amelia, that as one of the trustees for
Miss Edith, naturally I must safeguard her property These young people . . . and their wild parties and orgies ... It would lower the standard of our neighbourhood,” said Arthur, with a sly grin. Luckily, the ownership flat was comfortable and comnact: Wayne decided it would suit his needs. “When can I move in?” he asked. “As soon as you like," said Peter Bryant. “You’ve made a wise decision — best for everyone.”
