Suspicious fire in Spreydon

A woman was treated for smoke inhalation after a suspicious fire which seriously damaged a house at 48 Rosewarne Street, Spreydon. yesterday afternoon. The woman, Mrs V. F. Wilson, was discharged after being treated at the Christchurch Hospital. The fire began soon before 12.30 n.m. and took the fire brigade'almost 15 minutes to put out. The blaze was attended bv three engines, one from the Spreydon and two from the Central fire stations.

Investigation of the fire I was turned over to the C. 1.8. but the police would (give no detail of the inquiry last evening.
