Mataura G.P. cleared

David Cornelius Freeman, a Mataura doctor, was found not guilty in the Supreme, Court at Invercargill on four charges of false pretence and three of attempted false pretence. Mr Justice Jeffries discharged Freeman. The charges related to maternity expenses claims, worth about $l2OO, allegedly made by Freeman to the Health Department in 1974 and 1975.
