Carnaughlass Boy wins hunter title
A good even round by Carnaughlass Boy, ridden by Elizabeth Fenemor (Nelson), won him “'The Press” open hunter competion at the final day of the Royal show.
Second place went to Miss Judy Stevenson’s Avalanche,followed by Mrs Jane Knox’s High Flyer and Mrs Jane Neave’s Fair Pay.
After the event, first and second place-getters were called in for the judging of the champion hunter, which was deservedly won by Fair Pay, with Avalanche as reserve.
The J. H. Muirhead Trophies for best lady and gentleman rider were won by Mrs Neave and John Costello.
