The Canterbury Eagles' Golfing Society, which retire-' sents a vast amount of golfing' wisdom — it consists of men; who have contributed much; to golf as players or admin-j istrators — has contributed! handsomely over the years to the Murray Haiberg Crippled Children’s Trust Fund. Another of its fund-; raising tournaments for this; cause will be played at the; Coringa Country Club tomor-j row.
! There is already a heavy ’ entry for the afternoon competition but the society still has some vacancies for the ; morning competition, which has 8 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. as its ; starting time. Both competii tions are stablefords. There has been substantial backing from local business ; firms, and individuals. Three ?dozen of them have contri- . I buted to the substantial prize •list.
