Payroll stolen
j PA Wellington A man assaulted a Petone motor-body company employee yesterday and snatched the two bank bags, containing $7300 in wages, she was carrying. The man escaped down the borough’s main street. Jackson Street, pursued by another employee, and dropped about $2OO in cash on the road.
He jumped into a car driven by an accomplice. The police are looking for two men and a white car last seen heading north towards Lower Hutt.
