Board buys shares in P.N.G. firm
PA Wellington The New Zealand Dairy; Board has bought shares in a Papua New' Guinea milk products company to strengthen its trading base. The board acquired 30 per] cent of the shares of Tanubada Holdings Pty, Ltd, a well-established enterprise which runs milk-recombining; and ice cream making plants! in Port Moresby and Lae, the! board chairman (Mr A. L.l Friis) said. The board is already sup-1 I plying milk fat and milk pow-j ders to the company to make< (liquid milk and ice cream. Mr Friis said milk and milk products in Papua New Guijnea were becoming more popular as living standards (rose, and as fresh milk was; (scarce, dairy products im-j •ports were expanding.
