Joynt Scroll to Vicloria
PA Wellington Victoria University students have proved themselves top talkers in two different competitions. The university debating, team won the Joynt Scroll; for inter-university debating] for the second year in succes-| sion. In the final, the Victoria team of Crawford Falconer, Richard Baker, and David Linney took the negative of the subject “That New Zealand breeds wonder women”! against the Auckland team ofl Bruce Gray, Frith Parsons,! and Jeremy Steele. Mr Linney was judged the best speaker. At the Law Students’ Association conference, also in Wellington, the Victoria team of John Gwilliam and Chris Chapman won on Saturday the Law Society Cup for mooting. Mark Cooper, of Auckland, was judged the best mooter.
