N.Z. surgery preferred

4ZP" Melbourne A Melbourne girl, Meghan Barmby, aged six, has been brought to New Zealand for a vital heart operation by the Auckland surgeon, Sir Brian BarrattBoyes. She flew f.om Melbourne yesterday, accompanied by her parents. The girl has a condition involving a hole in the heart, transposed arteries, and a valve blockage between the heart and the lungs. It is complicated even further because the main veins from her legs flow into one side of the heart, preventing the normal corrective surgery. The operation will be done at the Mater Hospital on September 5.
