Youth shot in back
PA Auckland A youth, aged 18, will appear in the Magistrate’s Court at Papakura this morning after a shooting incident in Meremere village on Saturday night. A youth, aged 17, was shot in the back with a .22 rifle. The youth will be charged with injuring in circumstances that had death been caused he would have been guilty of manslaughter. It is believed that the injured youth was in a satisfactory condition in Middlemore Hospital last evening.
