War pensions to be increased
PA Wellington War disablement and war l widows pensions and certain war pension allowances are: to be increased. The Minister in Charge of! War Pensions (Mr McCready) said that all increases had been calculated on the basis of the movement of the consumers price index for the period April 1, 1976, to March 31 this year.. sioners with a lesser degree of disablement. '! The additional pension payable in certain cases of :more serious disablement ■ will be increased by $2.15 a Iweek to $17.70 a week. The maximum war widow’s pension rate will be increased by $2.65 a week to $21.75 a week. Attendants allowance rates will be increased from $48.05 to $54.65 a week. ’Travelling and clothing (allowances rates will also be ’increased.
