Doctor for trial

PA Invercargill An interim order for suppression of name was lifted yesterday when a Mataura doctor appeared in the Magistrate’s Court at Invercargill for the third time on charges relating to alleged attempts to defraud the Health Deparrment.

He is David Cornelius Freeman, of 59 Main Street, Mataura, who has elected trial by jury on a total of 31 charges of either false pretence or attempted false pretence.

Mr I. Hay, S.M., remanded Freeman to May 30 for the taking of depositions.

Bail was continued in the sum of $5OO, with a similar surety.

Mr K. J. Phillips of Gore, appeared for Freeman.
