Kimber in bowls final

The Linwood bowler, Lex Kimber, will play Irene Foote (Bay of Plenty) in the final at Oamaru this morning of the national women's bowls champion-cf-champlons singles tournament.

Mrs Kimber retained her one life yesterday, and in the last round of the day she played Mrs Foote, who still held two lives However, Mrs Kimber won easily, 21-5, to force another game. Mrs Foote has long been prominent on the national scene, and she is a member of the New Zealand team to contest the world championships later this year. Mrs Kimber, on the other hand, has only recently come to prominence.
