House suffers fire damage
Fire has severely damaged a house at 235 Queensbury Street, Burwood. Two fire engines from the Central and S f Albans stations were called out after neighbours raised the alarm. The occupants of the house escaped unhurt, according to the Fire Brigade. Firemen had to use breathing apparatus to enter the smoke-filled house. They quickly brought, the blaze under control, but the flames and water caused extensive damage to most of the threebedroom summerhill stone dwelling.
