Change in election
Resident members of the; Lincoln Advisory Committee will be elected for the first time at the local body election next October. This decision was taken at a meeting of the Ellesmere County Council on the recommendation of the, committee itself, which; hitherto has had its members appointed for a year’s, term by the annual meeting, of the Lincoln Community Centre. The council was told that the change could lead to the formation of a community council and to wider interests by residents in the affairs of the town. The council also agreed to: increase the resident members of the committee from four to six. They will sit for the norma! local body period of three years.
