Boat inquiry today
An official’ inquiry will be held today into a collision between two fishing boats near Motunau Island yesterday. The one-day hearing will be held at Cheviot. It will be conducted by the regional marine officer and superintendent of mercantile marine of the marine division of the Ministry of Transport (Mr J. D. Wisker). Mr Wisker declined to
give details of the incident last evening, but it is believed that neither boat was seriously damaged, and that there were no injuries. A full report on the incident would be sent to the Minister of Transport (Mr McLachlan), said Mr Wisker. He added that the outcome of the inquiry would not be released to-
