Cathedral canon
A former Pacific Islands missionary has been made a canon of Christchurbh Cathedral. ■
He is the Rev. P. B. Baker, vicar of St Michael’s and All Angels’ in Christchurch. Ordained in 1948, he holds a New Zealand Licentiate in Theology with first-class honours, and studied at St Augustine’s Missionary Col-, lege in England. He was a missionary from 1961 to 1963, and a canon of All Saints’ Cathedral in the Solomon Islands. Canon Baker takes the place of the Rev. R. A. Carson, who has been made an Archdeacon.
