N.Z. hockey team invited

New Zealand, the Olympic hockey champion, has been invited to Australia for a three-way test series next May. According to a N.Z.P.A. report from Melbourne yesterday, the Australian Hockey Association president (Mr Pat Ryan) said that India had also been invited for the series, which would be played in every state over three weeks. The chairman of the New Zealand association’s management committee (Mr M. R. Good) said last evening that he was unaware of any official approach being made as yet.

"However, I spoke to Mr Ryan when he passed through Christchurch a week ago and the proposal was mentioned. We have a management meeting this evening and some correspondence on the matter might have arrived. Even if it hasn’t I will open the subject for discussion,” Mr Good said.
