Exhibition error
The exhibition of paintings and drawings by Petrus Van der Velden at the Brooke/ [Gifford Gallery was not assembled by’ Mr Gerrit van 'Asch, as was stated in an article about the exhibition yesterday; he simply opened the exhibition. None of the Van der Velden works in Mr van Asch's own collection are included in the present exhibition. The exhibition was put together from various collections by a private Auckland art gallery, in association with the Christichurch gallery. The most | valuable painting in the • show, of Mount Rolleston. i owned by the Soutter gallery 7, in Nelson, is still for I sale at $17,000. It was reported as sold yesterday 7.
