BAN ON ICE CREAM VANS
PA Akron, Ohio “I think it’s rotten,” said 10-year-old Laura Norris, of Akron, and other children would probably have agreed, the Associated Press said. Akron’s City Council has decided to ban ice cream trucks from city streets. The legislation was prompted by a 7000-signature petition. Sponsors said ice cream trucks produce traffic hazards for children. The ban will not become law until it is signed by the. Mayor of Akron. John Ballard. He has 10 days in which to act, and has not said whether or not he favours the action.
