Progress on Chancery

Construction of the United States Embassy’s chancery building in Wellington is nearly complete. The SI.SM chancery is the first in New Zealand to be specifically designed as such. Work began on the 2!-storey, 40.000 sq. ft building in 1974. and it was topped off recently by the United States Ambassador (Mr A. 1. Shelden Jun.). It will be ready for occupation in April next year.
