Styx house burnt
A house in Lower Styx Road was extensively damaged by fire yesterday. Two fire appliances arrived Just after midday, and although they had the blaze under control in 20 minutes, there was nothing they could do to prevent the house from being badly damaged.
The cause of the fire has not been established, but it is not regarded as being suspicious. There was no-one in the house at the time.
