The new day lodge at Mount Hutt seats 100 people and was designed by a Christchurch firm of architects, Willis and Associates. It is much larger than the day lodge that has served the field for the last two seasons. Under the new lodge is extended space for the ski hire shop, which now stocks 600 pairs of skis.
