The touring North Sydney Boys’ High School rugby team won one of its two matches in Nelson on Saturday.

It lost to the Waimea College (under 18) first XV by 10-12. M. Palmer and G. Schwass scored for Waimea and S. Riasco converted both. T. Atfield and D. Drummond scored for North Sydney, T. Anderson kicking one conversion.

North Sydney beat Rival (under 16), 20-8. A. Riches (two), C. Crawford and S. Malone scored for the visitors. J. Sellers converted two. Tries for Rival were scored by A. Tyler and T. Soper.
