A Lincoln College gradu- ! ate, Dr J. P. Joyce, has been appointed director of the Ministry of Agriculture’s Invermay agricultural research centre in Otago. He replaces Mr N. A. Before his promotion,! he was scientist in charge of the nutrition section. Born and brought up in North Otago, Dr Joyce, who is 42, took an M.Sc. degree with honours in animal science at Lincoln College in 1957. He started work with the Ministry of Agriculture 17 years ago as a scientific officer and later spent three years on study leave in ! Scotland, where in 1964 he; gained a doctorate in animal; nutrition at the University' of Glasgow.
