Canty team tonight
The Canterbury men's basketball team to play against the Australian CanterburyBankstown tourists in Cowles Stadium next Saturday night will not be announced until after a practice this evening. The Fitness of the Checkers mid-eourt player, Dennis Barry, who has been suffering from an ankle injury, was still in doubt, the seleetor-coach (Mr Brian Cottell) said yesterday. He has indicated that there might be some changes to the team which was beaten in the final of the recent Nelson tournament. Players on the verge of selection must Include the two young High School Old Boys representatives, David Usmar and Simon Guthrie. However, the bulk of the Nelson tournament team Is likely to be retained.
