Rugby tour of South Africa

Sir, —In “The Press” on March 12, R. V. Shaw, in reference to rugby tours stated that “the United Nations, composed as it is of 90 per cent non-white races, is continually passing anti-white resolutions . . . and therefore should not be taken seriously.” Will R. V. Shaw justify his statement that 90 per cent of U.N.- members are non-white races? And show what he means by saying that U.N. resolutions should not be taken seriously and the implication that decisions made by white races are more likely to be right than those made by a committee composed of all races in the U.N.? —Yours, etc., J. D. GROCOTT, Chairman, Canterbury Branch, U.N. Association. March 14, 1976.
