Rugby tour of South Africa
Sir, —I read a great screed in “The Press,” mainly from the heads of the Roman Catholic and Anglican Church bishops coupled with the Methodists about a football team going to South Africa. I would like to point out this is sport, which promotes good will and good relations. If these same people would direct more effort in stopping this religious bigotry which is killing hundreds of people in Northern Ireland and Ireland and now in the United Kingdom, they would be doing a better service to mankind and the doctrines they are supposed to uphold. —Yours, etc.,
T. MOORE. February 23, 1976.
