Seven-city tour for youth band
(XZ. Press Association) j WELLINGTON, Jan. 4. 1 The 1976 National Youth; Band would tour three South Island and four North Island; centres from January 18 to I 24, the president of the Brass; Bands Association (Mr J. Rafferty) said today. The 45 players, whose ages range from 13 to 19, include [four girls. The tour will be sponsored by the National Airways Corporation.
The band will assemble for rehearsals at Lincoln College on January 7. It will play in street marches and outdoor and lunch-time concerts, and will be in Christchurch from January 9 to 18.
