Mr Cain said the club w’as pleased with Mr Power’s background. He has partly completed a B.Sc. with biology and physiology as units, both important sciences in swim coaching. Mr Parkhouse will leave on December 19, and until Mr Power takes over, the learn-to-swim activities of the club wili be handled by Miss Toni Sharpies who coaches the age-group competitive squad. Arrangements are still being made to find a coach for the top squad — which contains the Olympics prospects, Mark Treffers. Susan Hunter, and Lynne Rowe — for the period between Mr Parkhouse’s departure and Mr Power’s arrival. Mr Cain said he was sure that a satisfactory arrangement would be made.
