Repairs to the damaged Silver Fern rail-car are to be given priority so that it can be back in service for the first double-heading of the coming holiday period on December 20. The rail-car was damaged when it collided with a truck on a crossing near Feilding. Two men in the truck died. “The Silver Fern was damaged mainly superficially,” said a Railways official
