‘Chu Chin Chow' in 1976
“Chu Chin Chow” will be the main production of the Christchurch Gilbert and Sullivan and Light Opera Society next year. The production, which is scheduled for mid-June, will be directed by Brian Deavoll, whose production of the musical, “The is having an extended season in the Elmwood Playhouse • this week. The musical •director will be Barrie I Shakes. Auditions will be held early next year. Later next year the society will celebrate its tenth anniversary and it is planning a special production in October! for the occasion. This will be’ “The Pirates of Penzance.” I
