Dump costs may change
Free dumping at Christchurch rubbish tips might be available at least once a month between November 1 and April 30, when all fires in the open might be banned because of fire risks, the Fire Council decided last night. , The health and general : committee chairman (Cr N. I Dodge) suggested the move as a way for residents more easily to dispose of rubbish during the non-burning periods. Works and traffic committee members will study the idea.
